Where were the best 2020 Shenzhen Spa spots? Looking back at the top relaxing places people loved.
Alright, let me tell you about this Shenzhen spa trip back in 2020. Needed to unwind, you know? Things were kinda hectic. Heard Shenzhen had some decent spots, especially for chilling out for a whole day.
So, I started looking around online, asking folks. Some said Shekou was the place to be, especially for foreigners, but sounded expensive. Others mentioned Futian, maybe a bit more down-to-earth. I wasn’t looking for super fancy, just somewhere clean and relaxing.
Getting There
Decided to try a place near Futian Port. Think it was called TENZ Spa, or something like that. Sounded popular enough. Getting there wasn’t super straightforward from where I was staying. Had to hop on the Metro. Took Line 1 for a bit, maybe seven stops? Got off at Convention Center, then had to switch over to Line 4. Rode that down to Futian Checkpoint station.

Finding the right exit was key. Someone told me Exit A. Came out, looked around. Had to walk east for a few minutes, maybe five? Wasn’t immediately obvious, but then I spotted the sign. Big place, looked okay from the outside.
Inside the Spa
Walked in, paid the entry fee. They give you this electronic wristband thingy for your locker and for charging stuff inside. First stop, locker room. Got changed into the spa pyjamas they provide. Have to say, they were pretty comfy, like loose shorts and a top.
Then just started exploring. The place was pretty massive. Here’s kinda what I did:
- Hot Pools: Spent a good chunk of time here first. They had several pools, different temperatures. Some had weird herbs or milk or something in them. Just soaked and zoned out. Really helped loosen up.
- Massage: Decided to get a massage later on. Went to the desk, looked at a menu. Didn’t really know the difference, just picked a basic body massage. The guy came, took me to a room. It was decent, pretty strong pressure, worked out some kinks in my shoulders. Nothing mind-blowing, but solid.
- Food & Drinks: They had a big rest area with sofas and TVs. You could order food and drinks using the wristband. Grabbed some fruit, water, just relaxed there for a bit. Saw other people eating proper meals too.
- Other Stuff: Saw areas for games, like maybe billiards or board games? Didn’t really check those out. There was a quiet sleeping area too, dark room with recliners. Almost nodded off there.
Overall Vibe: It was busy, lots of people around, mostly locals just chilling, families too. But big enough that you could find quiet spots. Stayed there for hours, probably like half the day. It’s easy to lose track of time inside.
Heading Out
Finally decided I’d soaked and relaxed enough. Went back to the locker room, changed back into my clothes. Went to the front desk to check out. They scan your wristband, calculate everything you spent inside (massage, food, etc.) plus the entry fee, and you pay up. Wasn’t too bad price-wise, considering how long I stayed.

Walked back to the Futian Checkpoint station, got back on the Metro. Same lines, just in reverse. Felt way less stressed than when I arrived. Yeah, that was my Shenzhen spa day in 2020. Just a simple, relaxing experience. Good way to kill a day if you need to decompress.
