What amenities does Shenzhen Sheraton Hotel have? Enjoy its big swimming pool and delicious food options.
Alright, so I found myself in Shenzhen not too long ago. Had some stuff to sort out, you know how it is. Needed a place to crash for a couple of nights, and the Sheraton popped up as an option. I’d heard the name, figured it’s a big chain, probably reliable. So, I went ahead and booked it.
Getting There and First Look
Getting to the hotel wasn’t too bad. Shenzhen’s a big place, lots of hustle and bustle, but the taxi driver knew where he was going, which is always a good start. Pulled up to the entrance, and yeah, it looked like a Sheraton. Big, kinda grand, a bit business-like. The lobby was spacious, lots of shiny floors and that typical hotel smell – clean, a bit perfumed.
Walked over to the check-in desk. There was a short line, nothing too crazy. The person at the counter was polite enough, got my details, swiped the card. Standard procedure, really. They gave me the key card and pointed me towards the elevators. Up I went.

The Room Situation
Found my room, tapped the card, and in I went. My first thought? It was a decent size. Not massive, but not one of those shoeboxes you sometimes get. Had a quick look around. Bed looked comfy enough, which is always my main concern. There was a desk, a TV, the usual minibar setup. The window had a view of some other buildings, pretty standard city view. Nothing to write home about, but not offensive either.
The bathroom was clean, which is another big tick in my book. Had all the little soaps and shampoos laid out. I always wonder if anyone actually uses all of them. I usually just stick to my own stuff. I did a quick check of the Wi-Fi, connected without any drama, so that was good. Speed seemed alright for emails and a bit of browsing.
Wandering Around (a bit)
I didn’t really use a ton of the hotel facilities, to be honest. I saw signs for a pool and a gym. Peaked into the gym at one point, looked like it had the standard machines. Didn’t see anyone in there at the time. I was mostly out and about during the day, so the hotel was really just a base for me.
They had a couple of restaurants, I think. I did grab breakfast there one morning. It was a buffet setup. Loads of options, actually. Western stuff, Chinese stuff, fruits, pastries, the works. It was pretty busy, lots of people milling about. The food was okay. Nothing groundbreaking, but it filled me up and got me going for the day. Coffee was decent, which is always a plus.
Staff and Service
The staff I interacted with were generally fine. The check-in folks, the breakfast staff. They were doing their jobs. No one went massively out of their way, but no one was rude either. It felt pretty… transactional, I guess? Which is fine, I wasn’t there to make best friends.

One time I needed an extra bottle of water, called down to housekeeping, and they brought it up pretty quick. So, responsive enough on that front.
Heading Out
Checkout was straightforward. Went down, handed in my key card, settled any extras. They asked if everything was alright with my stay, I said yeah, it was fine. And that was that. Grabbed a taxi from the front and headed off to my next thing.
Overall, the Sheraton Shenzhen served its purpose. It was a clean, comfortable place to sleep and get a decent breakfast. It wasn’t an experience that blew my socks off, but it wasn’t a disaster either. Just a solid, predictable big hotel stay. Sometimes, that’s exactly what you need when you’re just passing through a city. No fuss, no drama, just gets the job done. And that’s my take on it, plain and simple.
